It's funny, I think someone turned me in yesterday - totally
spoofed/forged mail - (they sent me a copy of the headers) - I am
no expert but they seemed obviously wrong - I tried to tell them
that I wasn't using that class c yet, and nslookup/dig on the
names in question totally mismatched the ip address in the froms -
too many froms - date inconsistancies - I was going to send them
to the list for a couple of you guys to look at and walk me
through all the things I could tell this mis-guided soul as to why
it did not in fact go through our server....but thought the above
information would have been enough.
I think I have found the only thing worse than spam - a person
accusing you of allowing spam/spamming when you try and take every
precaution .... they took all the time to email me, sprint, and
possibly orbz but didn't take the time to study the headers.
