FYI, that's required with any virus scanner that uses its own mail server 
(ones that do not integrate directly with IMail).  Since you are running 
two mail servers (and it is not possible to have two mail servers respond 
on the same port and IP), you need to have the virus scanner running on one 
port, and IMail running on the other.  The virus scanner will pass the mail 
to IMail on a separate port.

The tricky part is usually setting up the SMTP-based virus scanner not to 
be an open relay.  Since you are running two separate mail servers, IMail 
can't take care of the anti-relay settings.
