No, you just need the SSL certificate (from Thawte, Verisign, etc.), and 
IMail will take care of the rest (after it is configured to use SSL).

You would only need to use a hardware SSL accelerator if the load was too 
high for the CPU to handle.  For 300 users, though, I wouldn't expect that 
the SSL would cause enough extra load that you would need it.
