FYI, I was able to set up syslog-ng so that the FreeBSD machine logs only
the "POP3D logog succees for" lines. very nice.

IMgate now offers Imail admins :

1. the possibility of dropping SMTP AUTH, and/or not requiring their Imail
users to set SMTP AUTH or anything else. pop-before-smtp is fully
transparent.

2. not depending on SMTP AUTH as the only relay control

3. one can drop all "relay for addresses", esp useful where you had put in
a hugely dangerous number of subnets to cover some kind of national dial-up
plan.
