We have 2 systems
configured to peer. mail1 running 7.04 and mail2 running 7.05. The
peer is configured per the documentation but there is one problem. If a
user on mail2 connects to SMTP on mail2 and sends a message to a user that lives
on mail1 the server says "OK - Accepted for peer" and the message is delivered
to the user on mail1. The problem is communication going the other
way. If a user on mail1 connects to SMTP on mail1 and sends a message to a
user that lives on mail2 the server says "OK - Accepted for peer". You can
look in the log on mail2 and see that mail1 does indeed hand the message to
mail2 for local delivery at which point mail2 queues the message. After
that you see 4 attempts in the log to deliver the message locally with the error
"This message has been here before". After that the message is returned to
the sending user on mail1 as a failure. Has anyone seen this? Please
help.
Thanks
Jeff
