Scott, is there an upgrade feature for Pro. We bought pro back on 8/14 and was wondering if you provide software updates for it or is that a separate contract?

Declude Virus handles dangerous E-mail (viruses, worms, trojan horses, ...), whereas Declude JunkMail and Declude Hijack handle non-dangerous E-mail (spam). Declude Virus handles virus protection. Declude JunkMail is designed primarily to catch spam being sent to local users. Declude Hijack is designed to prevent unauthorized bulk mailings (such as spammers using an open relay, or customers who send spam). >Is this what is added in the Pro version of Virus? No. It's a completely new feature we have been developing. The new feature being added to Declude Virus Pro was created to handle the scenario where a new virus comes out, and spreads very quickly before the AV companies come out with new virus definitions. These viruses will normally slip past any SMTP virus scanning, and slip past any desktop virus scanning. Many people are now blocking all .exe files, .com files, .scr files, .htm files, .hta files, etc. (the BANEXT option in Declude Virus makes this easy to do). However, there are often legitimate reasons to send those file types. The new feature in Declude Virus Pro will allow users to receive these attachments, while making it nearly impossible for a new virus to spread through these attachments. It will be slightly less convenient for the users, but only when they are receiving potentially dangerous attachments. Whereas before you might have completely blocked .PIF files, they can go straight through now (but a virus disguising as a .PIF file won't get through). -Scott --- Declude: Anti-virus, Anti-spam and Anti-hijacking solutions for IMail. http://www.declude.com --- [This E-mail was scanned for viruses by Declude Virus (http://www.declude.com)] Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
