You have to uncheck the Disable SMTP Auth box. Stop/Start SMTP and then
SMTP Auth will be available.

I guess I should explain my thinking a littl ebetter here.

I want to (If possible) set it up so that local users, within my subnet, do
not have to Auth. Where as remote users, outside my subnet, must auth.

I thought it was possible to do this but I am not having very much luck...

The Relay mail for option lets you configure IMail Server to only accept
mail that originates from local users or that is destined for local users.

Try the option No Mail Relay - but the users will need to turn on SMTP
Authentication in their E-mail clients.
