My client would like to set up their company e-mail
with me (I'm using Imail, of course). However, they have a strange requirement.
They would like to install an email server (Imail maybe?) at their local
server which does not have direct (24 hr) internet access.
They want to download each user's emails
automatically into their local server's user mailboxes via dial-up at certain
times only. Users are allowed to retrieve e-mails from the local server only and
not from the Internet. Vice versa, when they send an email, it will go out to
the Internet only when the dial-up connection is established.
The question is, can this be done automatically?
Can Imail do the job? Do I need special hardware/software to do it. I assume
they want to use Win2000 at the local server.
Thank you for your help.
