[IMail Forum] resources for integrating with existing sites

Hi all. I've got IMail up and running with KWM and a SQL database. I want to integrate it within an existing site and obviously don't want users to re-login. Can anyone point me to resources on doing this, or pass on any of your experiences doing so. Info on modifying templates would also be very useful.
