Legato Octopus will mirror the data to another server. If disaster strikes, you can quickly rename the other server, re-assign the IP address, install Imail on the other server, and copy the registry from the failed server (just the \IPSwitch\Imail\Domains portion)
Actually, Octopus will even do a failover for you - changing the computer name and IP address. -----Original Message----- From: scott-renfro [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Saturday, February 02, 2002 5:57 PM To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Subject: [IMail Forum] Mirroring / Replicating IMAIL For disaster recovery purposes, we are wanting to mirror our IMAIL servers in 2 locations, time zones apart. Is it possible to run IMAIL servers in 2 location simultaneously? We would prefer to do this if possible, otherwise we would be running one as a primary and the other as the fail over. Is anyone aware of a product that is capable of doing this? Thanks, Scott Renfro Sandhills Publishing Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
