We had a Sportster 28.8 FAX Modem in one of our mail servers. Every time we tried to send a fax out with it the receiving fax machine would start to receive then shoot out a error code of 138.
We then tried a real old 14.4 Fax Modem and we can now send a max of 2 pages. anything more gives the same 138 error. But works flawless with 1 or 2 page faxes. So we live with it. Fortunately we only need to send out 1 page faxes. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeff Reinhardt" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, February 09, 2002 3:47 PM Subject: Re: [IMail Forum] IMail Email-To-Fax > Roger, > > This may be our problem, it is a 3Com/USR 56k PCI Modem. > > The bigger problem is that this is a Dell PowerEdge Rack Mount > Server... it has no ISA slots or I could put an old modem in. > > Any ideas? > > Jeff > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Roger Heath" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: "Jeff Reinhardt" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Saturday, February 09, 2002 3:20 PM > Subject: Re: [IMail Forum] IMail Email-To-Fax > > > > Reply to: Jeff Reinhardt > > Re: [IMail Forum] IMail Email-To-Fax on Saturday 12:07:20 PM > > > > If you are running NT (maybe W2K) and using an internal Winmodem > > we gave up on that after struggling with it a long time.
