I have searched the Ipswitch knowledgebase for the anser to this question - but not found the answer. We are currently running iMailv5 on an NT4 BDC on an NT4 domain. I am planning to upgrade to v7.4 on a new server. There are articles on moving to a new server, but I was hoping to use Windows2000 server as the OS (not as experienced in this area). Am I correct in thinking that in order to make use of the NT user database for v7.4 on a Windows 2000 server it must be brought in to the NT domain as a domain controller? I am reluctant to do this as I suspect the Active Directory Service will then interfere with the NT4 PDC. For a variety of reasons I am unable at present to upgdate the current NT4 PDC to Windows 2000 which would probably be the preferred route. So can a Windows 2000 server in "standalone mode" on the NT4 domain access the NT4 user database for iMailv7?
