Was it after you did the Imail Hot fix Or the Microsoft Security rollup? there is a known issue with the MS Security rollup and Raid Controller incompatibilities with certain Compaq servers..

I had a couple of responses from you guys, and have replaced the ram, reinstalled ver 6.06, rebooted - same thing. Then I reinstalled 7.05 (no hotfix) - I'm still having the same problem. I can still boot to the HAL recovery mode and everything seems to be working fine. My network adapter card is an compaq netelligent 10/100 embedded. If anyone has any other ideas, I'd appreciate it.
