Hi. I just went thru this....this week actually. I upgraded Imail from 6.06 to 7.05. When I did, ORDB reported my mail server as open relay. I used to relay for local users and that is what the setting remained as after the upgrade. I ended up changing the relay to "Relay for Addresses". I was able to cover a range of IP addresses. I had ORDB re-test my relay and it came back clean.
Isn't that kinda strange that you can put in a range of addresses but not relay for local users? Whatever works! Hope this helps. Samantha -----Original Message----- From: R. If they were, you have a problem, and need to figure out what it is. You can check your IMail SMTP log file for today (February 19) at 19:21:56, and I bet you'll see that your mail server did relay the E-mail. So in order to get out of their database, you need to figure out how they were able to use your open relay. The "No mail relay" requires SMTP AUTH, but their tests don't use SMTP AUTH, so you should double-check your relay settings. -Scott --- Declude: Anti-virus, Anti-spam and Anti-hijacking solutions for IMail. http://www.declude.com --- [This E-mail was scanned for viruses by Declude Virus (http://www.declude.com)] Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
