When you posted this last time, I asked a few questions... IS the machine behind NAT/Firewall? Or is the machine connected direct to the net? These two IP's - is one your internal IP, and the other one the public/internet IP?
When you setup your domain, the official hostname should be something like thewebsite.com or mail.thewebsite.com with the alias of thewebsite.com. This will determine what the users are setup as - meaning if your official hostname is thewebsite.com your users will be created as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Now the IP's - if you are behind a NAT device, use the internal machine IP. Then assuming you have your forwarding all setup correctly, all requests will come in as needed. If your machine is connected direct to the internet and not behind a NAT or something like that, use your public IP address. Or just create the virtual domain without an IP. To be honest I'm not all sure that I understand your problem exactly. Is the primary domain working properly? Which IP is that domain using? d On 2/24/02 11:04 PM, "Manish Pandit" with the email address: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> put the following words into my computer : > Hello > Everybody > > Still my problem is not solved. > My machine name is : webserver > My website name is : www.thewebsite.com > > I want to create a virtual host but the problem is it's asking me two Ip > Address one is my Machine name Ip and other is my website IP address > so to this virtual host which IP shoild I provide so that My users can have > the address as [EMAIL PROTECTED] and not as [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Manish > > > > > > > _________________________________________________________________ > Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com > > > Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html > to be removed from this list. > > An Archive of this list is available at: > http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ > Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
