So what is reasonable...1meg, 2meg?  Nothing shown in knowledge base.
Trying to tell client to take it or leave it is not good...he will just
move on to ISP that does not care what limit is...

No  max  unless configured. But anything that big is inappropriate for
e-mail.  I  would  strongly  encourage such users to find other means,
such   as  secure  FTP  (offered  by  Ipswitch's  WS-FTP,  just  as  a
non-affiliated plug).
