We were having the same problem not long ago. For me, it turned out to be a
firewall issue. I had too many people trying to get out at the same time. I
simply upgraded my user license and all has been fine. Check your firewall
policies and activity logs first.

One of my clients do get server time outs on a few computers when they
check mail.

Mail works for them, they can send and receive mail but annoyingly many
times during the day they get the "server timed out" message.

This only applies to 3 out of 9 computers in the same office using the same
Internet connection.

They are using both Outlook and Outlook Express and Win98, 2000 and XP.

Any suggestions?
