>Please let me know what this means and if it is being used as a mail
>relay...
If you use "Relay for Addresses" or "No Mail Relay" (on the "SMTP Security"
tab), you are not an open relay. Anything else, and you are.
>I have the server set for no mail relay and user have to log in to smtp to
>send mail also.
In that case, you are not an open relay.
>I have several of these in my logs. server has only been running a few
>days.
>20302 022706 127.0.0.1 SMTPD (queue run) 562 0 33
This line means that IMail is attempting to send any mail that is sitting
in the queue (mail that couldn't be delivered the first time).
>20020302 022707 127.0.0.1 SMTP (310) >MAIL FROM:<>
>20020302 022707 127.0.0.1 SMTP (310) >RCPT To:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
This E-mail is a "bounce" message (the "MAIL FROM: <>" means that it is a
message generated from the postmaster). If you search earlier in the logs
for "[EMAIL PROTECTED]", you should see where the E-mail arrived, and get
more clues as to what this E-mail is.
