1) AFAIK this is not possible in iMail. 2) This is not by design. You (your host) may have the posters.lst file enabled for your list. Lemme explain... there are three files of subscribers:
digest.lst users.lst posters.lst users.lst is the normal subscribers digest.lst is the digest subscribers posters.lst (if enabled) is the list of subscribed users. I have a domain where I keep users.lst and posters.lst the same because those darn digest people just hit reply and include the entire dang digest email when they post. Your host may have done the same thing. If so, either add the digest people to the posters.lst file, or disable the 'enable posters.lst file' command for your lists. ~Brad -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Michael Luscombe Sent: Monday, March 04, 2002 8:42 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [IMail Forum] Mailing List Features Sorry for butting in folks, Hopefully someone can give me some pointers. My host uses IMail, and I figured this was the place where all of the brain-power on the subject would be. I'm attempting to switch a mailing list from Topica.com, which has turned into a horrible nightmare for us. There are just 2 problems with IMail lists: 1) Automatic footers aren't stripped from replies, so they multiply like rabbits. Is there any way to enable this? 2) People in digest mode can't post to the list. Is this by design, or is there some way to re-enable this? Are these stupid questions that have been asked and answered somewhere else? If so, just a pointer to a FAQ would be great. I've searched the ipswitch knowledge base a few times and came up empty. Thanks in advance guys! Take care, Michael Luscombe http://www.stratacafe.com Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
