Not quite right. If the MX record doesn't exist, the mail server will try sending to the A record for that domain. So if you are trying to send E-mail to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]", and there is no MX record for example.com, the mail server will try sending the E-mail to the A record for example.com (the same server that you would reach if you typed "example.com" in a web browser). >I am still searching, but for reasons of speed - we have lawyers waiting for >info - I am asking if you, or anyone here, knows where this is written so I >can cite authoritatively.
