Your DNS settings shouldn't make a difference for sending mail.  My guess 
would be that either there is a problem with the DNS server that NAV is 
using (a corrupt entry for pmnet.com), or that there is some other issue 
that the logs would explain (some type of error message being returned by 
their mail servers).
