>How can I find out where this is?
where what is? All troubleshooting starts with the log files. >It does not look like one of my clients IP >address. IMail must have messages whose MX's are those ip's. > I had a problem with Telus about a month ago and can not still send >Email to them. > We hosted a domain, and the domain had expired but the >client still could send email thought our server with the domain name. Telus >does a reveres DNS and was rejecting the email from the domain. So the >server keep sending the email back and forth, my log file was over a gig. I >am not sure why none of the servers just dropped it. Could this be part of >that? I don't think so. if they reverse your MTA's ip, and aren't happy with it, they should give a 4xx or 5xx SMTP reponse code and maybe some text, rather than just look like an MX or tcp/ip connection failure. >Why would I get SMTP errors, what are they from.? SMTP MX errors are from your SMTP client processes failing to send to their SMTPD servers processes on their MX host. Rather than look only at that log summary, go look in your log files to get more detail.
