The "X1" is used for Imail peering, so if you mixed an old and a fixed
version  in  a  peer  group,  the  fixed  version  would  be  seen  as
incompatible.

The  solution  is  to  allow  *full*  customization  of  the 220 code,
allowing   people   no  stay  non-compliant  if  they  need  to  (with
documentation  of  such  a  scenario).  Then,  going  forward, put the
Imail-specific identifier at the tail of the 220 code, not the head.
