Hi everyone, I've been an independent lurker, but something strange is going on with my server, so I thought I'd see if anyone else was experiencing this problem.
I'm running an Imail 6.06 install, with around 25 virutal mail domains, and it's been running for some time (been doing the upgrade shuffle for several years), but starting last week people with accounts on the Imail server haven't been able to send messages to people at excite.com. My server is not setup to be an open relay. It does conditional relay based on valid user. Have plenty of smtp security features enabled (even the relay based on IP addresses. I have round-trip DNS (forward and reverse resolution), so I know that's not an issue. I've actually gone to their SMTP server and using telnet created a message to the target account, so I'm pretty sure they're not filtering at the server. I checked the MAPS RBL for the ip addresses of my mail servers, so I'm pretty sure they're not blocking. (I'll have a message to their support dept. asking which RBL they're using sometime soon) The error clients recieve from the Imail postmaster is: Date: Mon, 18 Mar 2002 15:02:48 -0700 To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Undeliverable Mail Unknown user: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
