If you are using the Imail registry database it's
simple. Just export the registry keys, and copy the user
mailboxes. When you import the registry keys on the main server make
sure the directory information is correct for the copied data. Don't
forget to update DNS!

Subject: [IMail Forum] Combining
Multiple Imail servers into 1?
Greetings List,
We right now have 5 Imail servers, each with
about 10-20 virtual servers on each of them. We would like to combine all of
our imail servers into one really big server to make it easier to manage. Is
there anyway to do this without the obvious horror and user discomfort that
would come with having to re-add all of the servers manually, especially
since generally people have trouble keeping track of their users and
passwords. Invariably it would be a support nightmare. At the very least is
there a way for us to retrieve the usernames and passwords so that we can
create the users aliases and lists that the old servers use to
have?
We're using Imail 6.06 right now, we're moving
to 7.06 (if we can get past this nightmare of an issue =)]
If anyone has any ideas let me know,
please!
