Subject: [IMail Forum] question about list server errors

all-

i apologize if this is an FAQ, but i did look first on the ipswitch
support site and could not find an answer there. here's my situation:

i have created a mailing list with 25 recipients per message. empirical
evidence seems to suggest that:

(1) if the message can't be delivered to one of the recipients...
(2) some of the other recipients do receive the message...
(3) and then the message is requeued...
(4) and later the message is tried again...
(5) and some of the other recipients do receive the message again...
(6) and then the message is requeued...
(7) and this goes on until the retry max is hit

my questions are:

(a) is this true?
(b) if so, what's the best way to avoid it?

i can think of two possibilities:

(c) use 1 recipient per message
(d) use a retry max of 1

both of these have some undesireable consequences.

any recommendations?

-josh
