Firstly try making the email again from scratch and re-attach the file
see if you get the same problem as this may shed some light on possible causes
for the experts on here.
I have
been having loads of problems with this but I am fairly sure it is a client
problem, when it happens with an outlook user they get a message informing them
that the attachment is unsafe and cannot be opened, it used to just affect
logical file types such as .exe/.com/.vbs etc but now we are having people
getting the message with .jpg/.gif and .txt which is really taking the
pi??.
On
Outlook express it gets worse they don't even get the message or any indication
that there was an attachment at all we recently had someone who has been sending
his CV out for jobs and it appears that hardly any of the mails arrived with an
attachment, which considering he is applying for IT jobs will make him look like
an idiot.
We
have found that in every single case we have seen the user can send the same
mail back to themselves with the attachment in place.
When
we tried to reproduce the effects with all current MS security patches in place
we also have big problems sending attachments, but Hotmail and Yahoo mail have
no problems with any of the attachments.
What
is going on is it a Microsoft conspiracy to make everyone use online mail
services and then start charging for the service ?????
Has
anyone else had similar problems
