Hi My upstream provider said they set up reverse dns for a domain last week. the domain is is the form: xx.xxx.com
However, using a couple of reverse dns tests..it does not resolve. Do I need to have something in MY dns server, where the domain is defined in order for reverse dns to work? For example, something pointing to my upstram providers name server as the place to look for reverse records? Also, I can I check the name server the reverse dns is suppose to be set up in..using a nsookup type tool that would show the appropriate reverse record? . Thanks for any ideas for checking why this is not working.. This is related to imail..because it is the mail host i am trying to get a reverse set up for.
