If you need to add a message to the user to the mailbox, just go ahead and add it. Make sure there's and make sure that you have "FROM <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> date/time" You can see the format for date/time in another message. IMail will automatically recreate the .uid file for you when the user access his mailbox or when IMail adds a message to the mailbox.
