Hello,
I'm a new IMail customer/administrator and have done everything I know (which isn't much) to solve this problem. I've also done a lot of searching for answers and now I've developed that "mental fog" which ocurrs when one has limited experience (right now I'm tempted to say "limited intelligence" but I'd just be beating myself up :-)
My IMail server (www.InfiniThinkSoftware.com) can't send mail to another particular mail server (jmkdisplays.com), but by using another unrelated account (my cable ISP account) I can send mail to that domain with no problem. My SMTP log says
SMTP (2112) Trying jmkdisplays.com (0) SMTP (2112) MX connect fail "216.168.230.144"
It tries the set number of times then bounces the message back to me. I have tried using some utilities to determine if jmkdisplays.com shows an MX record, and it does. I finally sent the message using "smtp-server.satx.rr.com" and it went through right away.
Can somone point me in the right direction? I haven't had trouble sending to anyone else.
Thanks,
Richard A. Howard Director of Software Development InfiniThink Corporation
