Yes, if they're not both listening on the same ports (25 and 110). Only one application can bind to a given TCP port. Depending on the brand of your other software, you may be able to set up a domain routing setup that forwards some users' e-mail to port 26 on the same box, and then those users can use, say, port 111 to pick it up.
