The only logical explanation that I can think of is that your DNS server is having troubles, and can't resolve .net addresses. However: [1] I would suggest looking at the IMail log file to see *what* happens. Does it get the correct IP address? If so, the DNS server isn't at fault. If it gets the correct IP address, is it able to connect? ... [2] Fix your mail server: Close the open relay. Allowing spammers to send mail through your server for free usually isn't good for business. You're listed in at least 3 different spam databases, and will soon be in another because: [3] Fix your mail server: Allow bounce messages. You have IMail set up to reject bounce messages, which will get you on http://www.rfc-ignorant.org soon.
