We've been running 6.06 on same hardware for over a year at about 2-4% processor utilization. We never needed to reboot the machine. In fact, we'd reboot every 2 months just because we thought it was a good idea for a W2K box.
We just added a new domain (fixed IP) with about 250 users and delivered about 5,000 messages from their old mail server to our Imail server. At first our utilization didn't really change, maybe 1%. Now, all of the sudden we get web messaging taking up all available CPU utilization after about 24 hrs after it gets restarted. I've gone back and read the old threads about this, all I seemed to find was a user searching a large mailbox. I found 1 of the new users that would do a search on a 500k mailbox occassionally. I know many have had this issue and when I would see those threads I used to think it was load factor but now I know it's not. Anybody with this problem ever get it fixed? Find out what's causing it? Could it be corrupt messages? Old browser? I'm grasping here, please, help. Thanks David PS - We're running Declude A/V, Hijack and Junkmail.
