Also could mean PostgreSQL or MySQL, for many, many, many $1000 less in invoices for software and hardware, and probably better admin competence. I know people here have hooked Imail to MySQL, but I can't remember any work for PostgreSQL. You just have to be careful to punish any vendors who write their apps only to work with the MS SQL rather than to ODBC or other SQL interface.
