We're running 7.1 at http://killerwebmail.com/. You can log in with "demo" and "blue" to see that it's working correctly when deleting messages. (You can also see that it's faster than v6 or v7x webmail.) Sounds like you've got a web template issue - make sure you've got the very latest set installed.
