I can't remember the name of the person that sent it to me but it was a very well established. All i did was sort the file via command line like this sort <rules.ima > rules.txt then I checked for dupes and put the most needed rule(s) at the top of the list. deleted the old rules.ima then renamed the rules.txt to rules.ima. done the same with the kill.lst too. this way i can easily 'see' if the rule exsists or not. i don't think there are any secrets here.. especially with the rules.ima or kill.lst file.. i just wish that ipswitch would produce a faster i/o for the file because it can get quite large. what would be really grand and helpful to all would be that if we could get about 100 or so of these rules.ima files, merge them together, check for consistency.. then produce one KillerRules file.
