I normally lurk around here but have finally decided to beg for help (or at least some commiseration) on an issue that we have been having.
We have been using Imail since January for web email only (no pop access). We started with version 7.0x(whatever it was when we started) and I just applied the 7.1 upgrade and hotfix today. We have about 1800 users, but very little access. No more than 20-30 users are ever logged in at the same time and the mail volume is very low. The box is an NT 4.0 SP6a server with 512 MB RAM and 60+ GB of available hard drive space. Definitely capable of doing the job. We add, modify, remove users (etc.) through the web administration interface. Here is where the problem is. It takes a full 5 minutes to load the user administration panels. Then when you add a user it takes another five minutes to get back to the screen. Is anyone else experiencing this?? I spent a few days back in January on the phone with customer support at Ipswitch and while they agreed that there was definitely a problem, they couldn't give me any answer on how to fix it. Another college in our system is using the 6.0x version with over 2500 users and they don't have this problem. I have been hoping that each hotfix/upgrade would fix it, but I just tried it again and have the same problem. I just want to know if anyone else is experiencing this and whether anyone has any suggestions. Thanks for listening! Kim Kimberley D.
