OK, then you should contact them and ask them about it. If they are not
doing it, block the IP. If they are doing it, tell them to stop.

Yes, that it what seemed to be causing the problem.

Wrong.
IMail rejected the address. Your client then continually re-attempted to
send the E-mail, apparently because they have a broken mail client.
