Does the problem have a direct relationship to the size of a local-only list, i.e. what kind of delays do you get when sending to 10 or 25 local users, versus thousands? Have you tried setting up a dummy domain using a different userbase (Reg vs. ODBC) to see if you can isolate lookup delays from delivery delays? I would like to hear more specs on this. Do bear in mind generally that the rate at which a large list of local addressees can be delivered, especially with a high 'Number of Recipients per Message' setting, is intimately linked to disk I/O capability (transfer speed, number of heads, cache, etc.), since each message batch will be rapidly serialized. In some cases, adding a small delay between recipients might be better for disk head travel. Sandy Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
