You are correct.

Since potential spammers will be connecting to VirusWall, and not IMail, 
the relay settings need to be set up on both VirusWall and IMail (IMail 
needs it just in case a spammer happens to find the port IMail is on; if 
you have a firewall blocking it, you don't need to worry).

You'll need to look at the VirusWall manual to find out how to make sure 
that it is not an open relay, or maybe someone here can tell you what to do.

That is correct.  The E-mail is sent from Trend to IMail, so IMail records 
the address that Trend is running on (the RFCs require it).

That won't cause you to be an open relay.  You will only be listed as an 
open relay if people can connect to your mailserver and send to 
[EMAIL PROTECTED] (a domain you do not host).  However, if 
Trend is set up to only accept incoming mail, then your users won't be able 
to connect to it to send outgoing mail (although they could connect to the 
IMail server to do that).
