The key is the s: s in the log.
Although this is an unpopulated variable it is cause by a network error. You can
see when this happened it is already after the message has been sent completely
but not acknowledged correctly. The recipient server has the message to be
delivered but IMail has not been told this so it will re-queue it and send it
again. Is this the only place this happens to? If so there isn't really a lot
you can do about it from your end. If not, and you are having trouble with other
domains I would look into the network issues from your end.

Hello all:
I'm
a real novice when it comes to SMTP, so I'm hoping that maybe one of you out
there might be able to help me out with a small dilema I'm having. I had a
user report to me that he attempted to send an email and both he and the
person he was sending to received the email 7 times. I have looked at the log
files and found the following:

And
it continues throughout the log file. Is it the firewall? Is the answer behind
the "s: S" before the SMTP delivery failure. Or was it a connection failure
with AOL?
Help.
Thanks,
Clark
