I have a strange situation ... I have a bunch of interested parties that have a custom program that does outbound SMTP mail. The only problem is, the program only allows you to specify by IP the mail server, and will NOT do SMTP authorization.
Many of the clients are on dynamic IP numbers, so I could not allow them to use my server as their outbound SMTP server. Is there a program that they could run locally as a "proxy" that would listen to port 25 (or any other port) ... IP 127.0.0.1 (local machine) ... and then pass the mail to my server using SMTP authorization???? Basically an SMTP AUTH front end for another program?
