Once or twice a week, some users will lose the ability to delete mail from their mailboxes. It appears to happen to the same people again and again. (It might be that they're just the vocal ones.) I initially thought it was an indexing problem, but when I try to delete their .uid file, it's locked. Bouncing Web Messaging fixes the problem. It doesn't seem to matter if I remove the indexes so they're rebuilt, the problem keeps occurring.
We changed two things in our IMail setup recently: we upgraded from 6.07 to 7.1 (HF1) and we added a new domain that effectively doubled the number of users on the system. We have around 2000 users, most using Web Messaging to read their mail. Our Web templates are customized, mostly to move things around and add our logo (we redid them for 7.1). We also use Declude w/ McAfee. Any ideas? I've been considering a defensive morning reboot every day, but I'm not sure if that will help. It may be due to load, since it seems to happen mid-afternoon, which is the peak time for Web Messaging.
