Thanks to everybody for your replies.  I followed your suggestion as best I
can and still have the same problem.
When sending to earthlink.net, my server still tries to connect to
207.217.121.203.  In looking at earthlinks DNS reports, their mail servers
are
207.217.120.249
207.217.120.31
207.217.120.28
207.217.120.29
207.217.120.79
207.217.120.78

How can I make IMail find the correct mail servers?  I have applies 7.07 hot
fix 2, which I think is the latest patch.  Here are the log entries from one
attempt.  Do you see anything other than the wrong mail server?  I run the
DNS tests against my domain (icontrol-enterprise.com) and the only problem i
found was one of my DNS servers was not reponsing, but the other one was.
Could this be a problem also?
