NEVER send CC info via email. Even though the webmail session to your client is encrypted, the SMTP session from your web server to your Imail server is not, and if the session is sniffed, everything is there in plain text, and next thing you know - you're on the evening news as one of those guys whose customer's CC numbers all got stolen... Not very good PR.
What we do is instead of sending all the order info via email, we send a simple 'you have a new order to process' email, with a link to an ssl enabled website on the web server to manage and complete the order. That way, no sensitive info is ever sent via email.
