Unbeknownst to me, and unannounced in their release notes, iMail has modified the rules for posters in their latest patch. It used to be that if you have a list marked as Subscribers Only post, and have an active poster list, only email addresses listed IN THE POSTER LIST could post. They've now changed that. The rule was:
If set for subscribers only and poster list you had to be on both the rule now is: If set for subscribers only with a poster list those in the posters list OR those in the subscriber list can post. You must now set it for Moderator Only/Poster list to keep subscribers from posting. I found this out the hard way after a spammer subscribed to my list and spammed my viruswarning list with a Nigerian $$ scam - all within 6 hours of the patch being released and applied on my machine. GRRR. If you have restricted poster listservs and you wish to keep them restricted I strongly suggest you go check your listserv posting rules.
