Joe,

This seems to be a recurring theme on this list. What I gather -- though I
may be wrong -- is that IMail will try the A record if it gets a 4xx
(transient, non-fatal error, in broad terms) from the destination host. What
would be really interesting would be to have a log excerpt showing IMail not
trying another lower-priority MX -- or, at this point, *any* other MX -- in
the event of a 5xx error, which it should.

Incriminating snippets anyone?
