If you *really* want to read the file, it follows the standard Unix mailbox 
format.  Messages are delimited by a new line beginning with "From <".  No 
lines in the body will have that (I believe that if an E-mail starts with 
"From <", it will get switched to ">From <", to prevent it from interfering 
with the delimiter).
