There's a new way of determining what a "closed list" is and it's different from 6.x and even 7.0. Here's the kb article: http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/IM-20020703-DM02.htm Used to be if you had a subscriber list and a poster list you had to be BOTH a subscriber AND a poster to post to the list. After 7.1 EITHER a subscriber or a poster could post. You now want to move that to moderator list w/poster list and then only the moderators and posters can post. Btw, I strongly recommend moving to 7.x I've been VERY happy with it compared to 6.x (not that I was that unhappy with 6.x :) ).
