Still testing my installation when I ran across this problem.
I have Outlook>Express setup to check for mail using POP3. I've also setup a
>directory service and pointed it to the IP address of the mail
>server to take advantage of LDAP. I selected the option for
>checking names againt this server when sending mail. From the
>address book in Outlook Express, I can do a find and I see the
>list of the names of the users i've created on the IMAIL Server.
>I can choose a name from that list, for example, Mike Garrett and
>send a message, works fine.

>Now if I open a new message and type my last name, Garrett, on the
>TO: line, then click Send, the message is sent.

>If I open another new message and type my first name, Mike, on the
>TO: line, then click Send, Outlook Express can't find a match in
>the list of names. This same thing happens if I type, Mike
>Garrett. Mike Garrett is a valid name and a valid account which i
>have sent messages too and from which I can receive messages.

>Other accounts I have set up work the same way.
>I'm thinking, I should be able to type Mike, Mike Garrett or just
>Garrett and Outlook Express should be able to find a match on the
>mail server. Why isn't it working that way?
